Why have a mould or damp survey?

If you see mould or damp in your house or property there may be another problem elsewhere in your home. The solution is not always an obvious one and mould is often a symptom of a wider problem. A Damp Detective survey can pinpoint the source of the damp and therefore the reason for the appearance of mould. We will also show you how to solve the problem which can often be solved very easily.

Mould is capable of growing on dry or painted walls as long as there is moisture in the air to sustain it, you would be surprised at how little moisture it needs! If you have mould that keeps appearing even after you clean it off your surface again and again then call us to find the source and show you how to stop the mould by fixing the problem not covering up the symptoms.

We work with housing associations in Dublin, Wicklow, Kildare and Wexford as well as doing private mould & damp surveys. If you are a tenant and have mould or damp why not ask your landlord to contact us or call us for a second opinion.

If you are moving into a house and suspect that it has a mould or damp problem we can survey the entire property to ensure that it is not a long-lasting problem. If you are trying to sell your house but are having problems with mould or damp then call us to find the source. A home inspection can save you from purchasing a home full of defects that you didn’t know about.

Condensation

Condensation is a symptom of a wider damp problem not a problem in itself, if you have condensation it indicates that there is a damp problem elsewere in your home.
